Handcrafted Stabilized Spalted Alder Majestic Jr. Razor Handle, Chrome Finish/Gold TN is made from a very beautiful STABALIZED SPALTED Red dyed ALDER wood blank . The hardware is made like the popular Majestic Jr. pen and now available in this impressive and elegant Razor that fits the popular Gillette MACH3 , Ladies Venus or FUSION blades. I used this STABALIZED wood blank because of its beautiful appearance. It is deeply grained with beautiful light spalted streaks. The fun part comes next , when I start turning the handle and profile it to blend with the chrome finish on the hardware. As I'm turning each piece, I can't help to notice how the grain and streaks of the combination of the grain on the ALDER stands out. The razor has a good stable feel to it. You can't go wrong with the Chrome and gold TN finish in this handle.

I profiled the blank with a light rounded contour and sanded and finished the Beautiful Stunning STABALIZED blank handle with the hardware in mind . I then follow by sanding and finishing with a cyanoacrylate (CA) finish that will definitely make this handle water repellent. This process is followed by Buffing and then adding a generous thin coat of Renaissance Wax that will help resist moisture, fingerprints and heat.
