I milled and profiled this beautiful Desert Ironwood blank into a very distinctive Hidden Tang handle. The manufactured knife blank I used is a Clip Point Swedge made from 1095 steel and 15-N-20 hand forged Damascus with a random pattern . I also used a brass pin to hold the hidden tang handle in place after spreading a good amount of epoxy glue on the knife handle. The Guard was soldered to the knife blank and then polished. I also added a few brass inlays in the handle. The knife measures overall 13 inches. The Blade length is 7 7/8 x 1 3/16 at its widest point. It is approximately 3/16 thick. The knife has a well balanced weight. It really feels just great in your hands.

I spent a good amount of time profiling, sanding and buffing the hidden tang handle . The brass guard was blended to the handle and it l looks just great. To accompany this beautiful knife, I've included a custom hand made,tooled, stamped and sewn 9oz. vegetable tanned top grain Leather Sheath that I spent many hours working on. It has been cased to form fit the knives contour.

Finally, it was then finished with a good top coat that will help preserve the leather. I then carefully buffed the sheath and now you have a very nice looking knife and sheath combo. I hope you will enjoy this beauty.
