This pen took a good while to create. I laminated various pieces of oak , maple, walnut and carefully cut them in various sizes and re-laminated them to a brass tube that keeps the hardware together. Following , it was turn on a lathe very carefully, so that the wood blank would hold together. The GATSBY is a very classic style twist pen. The segmented design adds such beauty to the laminated layers of woods stretching out in various angles.

I then used my three step finishing process by sanding with 14 different grits of sanding material. The Pen body was then finished using Cyanoacrylate (CA) glue, then I used micro mesh to polish to a very nice finish.
